It looks like an agreement has been made by the Oak Island, NC Town Council to purchase the Yaupon Fishing Pier. The pier has been shut down and under foreclosure since April 2007. With a combination of grants and loans, there is hope now that this NC Landmark will be open to fisherman again.

Oak Island Golf Course Construction Update Video

A couple of weeks ago I had a chance to get out for the afternoon to do a little fishing and ride the boat around. I love to run the Intracoastal Waterway that runs behind Holden Beach and Ocean Isle, NC. On this little excursion, I forgot to take my camera. Some of the scenery was beautiful and all I had with me was my Blackberry.

When you are a Brunswick County real estate agent, you don’t go anywhere without your phone. I shot quite a few pictures as we cruised the canals of Ocean Isle. when I viewed the photos on my laptop, I was really surprised at the quality. Cell phones have come a long way.
